Great Cheap Restaurants For Lunch & Dinner In London

Hello everyone, being the food girl i am, wanted to share some great restaurants i have been in the last couple of weeks where i had cheap, no service charges and great food.
Two weeks ago i tried for the first time Turkish food, i was not really sure how this was going to turn out, but my friend  was excited and convinced me to go.

Fez Mangal, a Turkish restaurant in Landbroke Grove quite easy to get if you leave in West London but in East is quite a long journey, but definitely worth to go.

The place and the service is lovely, great and friendly staff, the food came really quickly. There is a variety in the menú, to choose from and i would advice you to book a table if going for dinner cause it could be quite busy.

So for starter me and my friend we shared a variety of sauce and dressing. Its called mixed Men for two, and it had: humus, tabule, ezme, and cacik, to be accompanied with Nan bread.

For main, we shared the dishes cause all them come in large portions with basmati rice and vegetables.
So what i took was a mixed doner (lamb and chicken), the meat was cooked perfectly so tasty and literally i really have no word to explain. I personally don't eat lamb but that was GOOD.

Then the second main was Lambs chops, almost same setting and presentation with rice and all vegetables to follow. The prices are really reasonable and with just £13 you fine.
However really worth to go if you want some good BBQ meat swell.

The next place i went is now my favourite Italian resturant which is Santi, in stratford really easy to get to from Stratford International station. I would really advice you to go for dinner as there is a lovely setting outside for when is hot or even when cold.  The food comes  quickly; (this is to my  opinion, i mean we italians take time between dishes). With this place i do really enjoy it because the staff is italian and so i get to talk my language lol.

Anyways  for starters we got to share "coppa di gamberetti" which are prawns
with cocktail dressing and salad, i loved the presentation in the cup. Then second starter "involtini di melanzane parmigiana" basically just aubergine and mozzarella baked with tomato and Pamesan literally like lasagna but with no bolognese and pasta but how is laid is almost the same procedure

Getting to the mains, my friend simply got Penne Amatriciana: penne with bacon and tomatoes.

Then for me got a plate of Linguine ai Frutti Di Mare.

Pasta with mussels, clams, squid and king prawns. And this is for all the fish lovers cause if you don't really like fish there is a huge variety of pizza, meat section and pasta aswell.

Finally for dessert we go "Tortino al cioccolato" just simple chocolate cake but then divided in the middle hot melted chocolate, and all this to enjoy with vanilla gelato. I am going to highly advice you to take the Tiramisú is massive.

And finally The restaurant i went was Pizzeria Pappagone, near Finsbury Park. Italian restaurant which main focus on oven wood cooked pizza. (forno a legna), i know guys i eat too much Italian but what can i do!!

However really simple one, great service pizza was done before we even started our cocktails really affordable prices and i am probably still going to go to have a full meal but the place is packed so for sure book your table because people wait to dine.

Pizza Margherita with Salsiccia (sausage), the meat is imported from Italy, cause the one in the UK is a bit different.
than just to follow a typical Italian cocktail: Sprits.

And here is the end of this first food review post and i hope you really enjoyed it. If you leave a comment on a place you raccomend to try i am willing to go and give my honest opinion i love food so. Claudia xx
